In practice, companies price their singe unit by selecting 10 undamaged units with the same catalytic converter markings, cutting out the ceramics and grinding it. The resulting monolith is subjected to measurement of the metal content using spectrometers. This allows to obtain an average value of 1 unit. Many companies have their own price lists and price differences between identical catalytic converters depend on many factors and the accuracy of the quotation process. Taking the above information, we can briefly explain where the so-called market price of a unit comes from and how many direct and indirect factors affect the price of the catalytic converter.
